With my objects and installations, I invite you to enjoy, marvel, participate... and: to reflect on our environment.
To do this, I use unusual mostly recyclable materials such as aluminum coffee capsules, original rescue blankets, but also wool, fabrics, wire, clay, concrete, and I also appeal to the senses through light, scent, and sound.Gabriela Drees-Holz
I create my colorful and vibrant works of art mostly from recyclable materials such as fabrics and coffee capsules.
The resulting ceramics, textile objects, and installations are diverse, extraordinary, and always full of imagination, magic, and joie de vivre.
With this diversity, I would like to invite the viewer to a feast for the senses and encourage them to develop a new sensitivity for our environment and biodiversity.

"I admire her creativity and the uniqueness of her artwork. She always has fascinating, impressive, and very special ideas. With great perseverance, she remains true to herself and her style, yet she is open to new things and new paths. She is a free spirit."

I urgently need another 10,000 donated, used, dried, and non-moldy aluminum coffee capsules for an XXXXL capsule project (a walk-in golden coffee capsule with magical capsule trees inside). Please drop them off at my place (Haagweg 1, 41352 Korschenbroich).
"She consciously incorporates the environment as a theme, creating enormous objects from countless, suggestive small elements. The cushion sculptures, with their thousands of pinholes and stitches, symbolize the damage inflicted on our planet. A similar concept is present in her work with aluminum coffee capsules, for example, on the large sphere. Gabriela works on her ideas spontaneously, devotedly, and with great concentration. Her workday lasts more than 24 hours. She processes memories with melancholy, but also with pride, transforming, for example, old fabrics, lace doilies, and buttons into extraordinary objects."

The Arthouse Dreho in Korschenbroich-Liedberg sees itself as a venue for visual arts.
The house and its picturesque garden, complete with a view of Liedberg Castle, are a cultural highlight with regular exhibitions featuring German and international artists and small garden concerts, see participation in “Avant Garten.”
"I got to know Gabriela as a courageous, adventurous fighter and an optimistic free spirit. She is curious (in the truest sense of the word), versatile, and ambitious. She constantly seeks and finds new inspiration for her own art and always appreciates other artists. She enjoys connecting her work with environmental issues. In short: a role model for everyone, both as a person and as an artist."
